TCP/IP with NT Server 4.0 test today, which happened to be my fifth test on the road to getting my MCSE. I kind of feel like telling you what I told my wife: I couldn't have done it
without you. And that's true!
I found your outlines and coverage to be very accurate and reflective of
what was on the actual exams. Your practice exams were ideal preparation,
but it was the answers and the references to the answers that were
particularly helpful. In preparing for my final exam on Windows Architecture
II, I gained a real appreciation for the conciseness and accuracy with which
you explained a topic. As a former English major, I can tell you that being
concise is a wonderful, but difficult to attain quality of writing!
I took an approach to preparing for the real exams that you may find
interesting. After taking the first actual exam on VB 5, I realized the
value of your outlines. So from then on, the first thing I did in preparing
for the next 3 exams was to take all your practice tests. But I didn't
really take them - I just printed off the exam to a file, and stripped out
everything but the references to the source material. I then sorted and
organized those references so that all the references were together in an
Excel spreadsheet, and I could see how much material was drawn from each manual. I then printed off from MSDN copies of each topic that you
referenced, and used that as the basis for studying. When I thought I was
ready, then I went back and actually took your exams.
